As your cruise continues, you will witness the traditional feluccas sailing gracefully along the Nile. Today, you will have the unique opportunity to explore one of these traditional vessels. You will meet a local sailor who will share the ancient art of sailing, giving you a hands-on experience that connects you directly to the history and culture of the Nile.

In the afternoon, enjoy high tea at the historic Old Cataract Hotel, a place that has hosted legends like Winston Churchill and Agatha Christie. It is rumored that Christie wrote her bestselling novel, "Death on the Nile," at this very hotel. The ambiance and history of the Old Cataract Hotel provide a perfect backdrop for this elegant experience.

For those seeking further adventure, an optional excursion to Abu Simbel is available. These iconic temples overlook Lake Nasser and include the Great Temple of Ramesses II and the Temple of Hathor. These colossal structures are a testament to ancient Egyptian engineering and artistry. Afterward, you will continue cruising along the Nile to Kom Ombo, where you will visit Egypt's only double temple, dedicated to the crocodile-headed god Sobek and the falcon-headed god Horus the Elder. This unique temple provides fascinating insights into ancient Egyptian religion before you continue to the city of Edfu.

Day 3 Edfu to Luxor

Your day begins with an early morning visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. You will travel to the temple by horse-drawn carriage, adding a touch of old-world charm to your visit. The Temple of Horus is dedicated to the falcon god and offers an impressive collection of statues, reliefs, and hieroglyphs that tell the story of ancient Egyptian mythology and religion.

After a hearty breakfast, you will set sail for Luxor, passing through the historic Esna Lock. Day 4 Explore Luxor

Your exploration of Luxor begins with a journey to the west bank of the Nile, where you will visit the Colossi of Memnon. These two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III have stood for over 3,000 years and are a sight to behold. Next, you will visit the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning example of ancient architecture built for one of Egypt’s most successful pharaohs, and one of the few female rulers in ancient Egypt.

Your adventure continues to Explore Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of many pharaohs, including the famous Tutankhamun. Here, you will enter the tombs and marvel at the intricate hieroglyphs and paintings that decorate the walls. Each tomb tells its own unique story, providing a fascinating glimpse into ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife.

In the afternoon, you will go to know who built the vast Karnak temple. Walk through the grand avenue of ram-headed sphinxes and stand among the towering columns of the Hypostyle Hall. Karnak is a sprawling complex of temples, chapels, pylons, and obelisks that were built over a span of 2,000 years. The sheer scale and grandeur of Karnak will leave you in awe.

Your final stop for the day is the Luxor Temple, a majestic temple located on the east bank of the Nile.
